Laura Nyro Three Nights Before Christmas 22/12/70 Fillmore East, New York City






Laura Nyro's Christmas concerts were legendary. She carried on this tradition till 1994. The next year, she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer.


Many of her most-loved songs are played solo with Nyro on piano - Emmie, It's Gonna Take A Miracle, And When I Die, Save the Country, Time and Love and When I Was A Freeport and You Were the Main Drag.

  2. Laura Nyro: A truly Beautiful Lady, who wrote, sang, and played, straight from her Soul, some of the most amazing music this world has ever known. How I wish I could have been there for her, but alas, as a kid, I was completely clueless, only knowing the cover versions of her awesome songs, and the songs of other Artists who were influenced by her - they were all played heavily on the radio, while Laura herself remained the music industry's best kept secret. I know better now, and I hope that somewhere out in the Heavens, Laura knows that her loyal Tribe is still growing.
